Commercial Glass Door Scratch Removal - Clapham Junction Gym

Access doors at this Clapham Junction gym and office facility had developed deep scratches from daily use. Something less usual than our typical work, access door restorations like this are normally carried out during odd hours, outside of working time. However, that's not always an option, and in this case we adapted to accommodate the client's needs by working during their operational hours with minimal disruption.

The glass access doors at this busy gym and shared office space had accumulated significant scratching, probably by moving gym or office equipment. The damage was affecting the professional appearance of the facility, but replacing the doors would have been costly and disruptive. Access door restoration is less common than our typical window work, and we normally schedule these jobs outside regular working hours to avoid disrupting business operations. However, this client needed a more flexible approach, so we adapted our process to work during their opening hours whilst minimising any impact on their members and staff. We used progressive sanding techniques with specialist diamond abrasives to carefully remove the scratched surface layer. The work was carried out efficiently, allowing the gym to continue operating normally. Each stage used finer grades to eliminate the previous level's marks, finishing with micro-polishing compounds that restored the glass to crystal-clear condition. The result speaks for itself - the access doors now look factory-new, achieved without the expense of replacement or the disruption of a major installation. By adapting to the client's scheduling requirements, we delivered professional results that worked around their business needs.
